Microdermabrasion

This treatment uses a handheld device to exfoliate the outer layer of the skin, removing dead skin cells and providing a variety of aesthetic results.

Microdermabrasion Overview

Microdermabrasion works by using either a diamond-tipped applicator or water (in which case it is referred to as hydrodermabrasion) to exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin. The dead skin cells are mechanically removed by the applicator and then vacuum suction is used to clear the skin.

This is a non-invasive treatment that increases circulation, promotes lymphatic drainage, and improves the penetration of topical actives. Microdermabrasion is commonly used to generally rejuvenate the skin and improve its texture. This treatment is also used for the targeted reduction of wrinkles, acne scars, and sun damage. It is appropriate for most skin types and requires multiple sessions for best results.
