ACHW Scholarship
Terms and Conditions

This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for the Australasian College of Health and Wellness (ACHW) Scholarships currently on offer, referred to as the ‘Scholarship’ herein.

You must read these Terms and Conditions in full. In accepting a scholarship from ACHW, it is understood that you have read and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

Scholarship Description

Future Leaders, Indigenous Excellence, Career Builders Scholarship, and Men in Aesthetics Scholarships

The Scholarship offers a two-unit contribution for the Associate Degree in Applied Health Science (Dermal Therapy) or Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics).

The Scholarship will be applied in the form of a one-off unit contribution thereby reducing tuition fee liability in full for the Eligible Units.

The Eligible Units are:
AHS201 Nutrition in Practice
HBS202 Patho-physiology

Registered Nurses Scholarship

The Scholarship offers a one-unit contribution for the Associate Degree in Applied Health Science (Dermal Therapy) or Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics).

The Scholarship will be applied in the form of a one-off unit contribution thereby reducing tuition fee liability in full for the Eligible Units.

The Eligible Unit is:
HCM202 Practice Management

Industry Newcomers (Undergraduate Certificate)

The Scholarship offers a $500 tuition fee contribution for the first unit of any ACHW Undergraduate Certificate programs.
The Scholarship will be applied in the form of a one-off tuition fee contribution, thereby reducing tuition fee liability in part by $500.

Scholarship Conditions

1. The following students are not eligible to receive the Scholarship
a. Students who have not received an offer for the Scholarship.
b. Students who are already receiving other bursaries from ACHW.
c. Students who commenced study in a relevant ACHW Program prior to May 2022.
d. Students who enrol and study with ACHW third party partners including the Australian Dermal Science Institute.
2. Scholarship applicants must meet the standard course entry criteria and be accepted into one of the relevant ACHW programs.
3. The Scholarship is awarded based on specific Key Selection Criteria.
4. The Scholarship applications are assessed by the ACHW scholarship committee.
5. The Scholarship provides a tuition fee contribution for the Eligible Units for the Duration indicated in the scholarship award letter for study in a relevant program.
6. The Scholarship is a one-off contribution, that is, the contribution will not be re-applied for re-enrolment into the unit due to a Fail result or post-census withdrawal. The Scholarship Holder will be liable for payment of the full tuition fees for subsequent enrolments in that unit.
7. The Scholarship is not paid for units where credit is granted inrecognition of prior learning/study.
8. The Scholarship is not transferable to a third party or redeemable for cash.
9. The Scholarship holder must commence study in the intake for which the Scholarship was offered. The Scholarship cannot be deferred.
10. Scholarship holders are expected to actively progress the Eligible Unit/s and adhere to the academic and administrative policies as laid out in the ACHW student handbook.
11. The Scholarship holder must pay their tuition fees within the stipulated payment deadlines.
12. ACHW does not represent that the Scholarship will be tax free to the Scholarship holder. The Scholarship holder should seek independent advice on the tax implications.
13. ACHW reserves the right to vary the awards, withdraw or not to offer the Scholarship if:
a. applicants have not achieved or cease to meet the eligibility requirements of the Scholarship; or
b. the Scholarship holder has been found to have supplied incorrect or misleading information during the application process; or
c. the Scholarship holder fails to maintain good academic standing and progress; or
d. there is a case of serious misconduct by the Scholarship holder; or
e. the Scholarship holder has failed to meet these terms and conditions; or
f. in any other case where ACHW determines that the Scholarship eligibility requirements have not been met
14. Students may only be awarded with one scholarship from ACHW. There is no stacking or utilisation of multiple scholarships available.
15. The Scholarship holder may be asked to participate in a photo shoot and complete a testimonial for ACHW. If this request is accepted, photo and testimonial content may be published on the ACHW website or used for other promotional purposes.
